About the journal

Journal of Knowledge and Discovery is an English-language comprehensive multidisciplinary scholarly journal welcoming contributions from all academic disciplines. Its scope is not restricted to a particular subject, region or research tradition. It considers disciplinary and interdisciplinary work using experimental, computational, quantitative, qualitative, historical, theoretical, interpretive and other appropriate scholarly approaches.

Aims and scope

The journal seeks clearly argued contributions that add knowledge, explain their evidence and methods, and engage with relevant scholarship. Subject areas include, without limitation, mathematics and statistics; physics, chemistry and earth sciences; life sciences and biology; medicine, public health and allied health; engineering and technology; computing and artificial intelligence; agriculture, food and veterinary sciences; environment and sustainability; economics, business and management; law, politics and public policy; education and psychology; social sciences; humanities, languages, history and philosophy; arts, design and interdisciplinary research. Single-discipline studies are welcome and do not need to link to another field.

What we consider

We consider original research, reviews, theoretical and conceptual papers, methods papers, case studies, short communications, perspectives, policy analyses, replication studies, research notes, data papers, book reviews, scholarly commentaries and correspondence. Negative or inconclusive findings can be valuable when the research question and methods are sound. Format alone does not determine acceptance. Work outside the journal’s subject scope, unsupported claims and purely promotional material are unsuitable.

Readership

The journal is intended for researchers, teachers, students and readers in professional practice across academic disciplines. Authors should explain specialised concepts sufficiently for readers beyond their immediate subfield.

Editorial assessment

Editors assess scope, originality or scholarly value, methodological suitability, clarity, integrity and the support for the conclusions. Scholarly articles are intended to undergo double-anonymous external review. Editorial notices and some correspondence may receive editorial assessment; the applicable route will be identified. Acceptance is not guaranteed by submission, invitation or payment.

Publication schedule and access

JKD publishes monthly: one issue per month, twelve issues per year. Published articles are freely available online. Submission, peer review, and article publication are currently free of charge. Any future fee change will be publicly announced in advance and any proposed charge agreed with the author before proceeding. Published articles are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0), with copyright retained by their authors. Monthly publication is a schedule, not a promised turnaround time.

Editorial independence

Decisions should be based on scholarly considerations and ethical standards. Editors must disclose relevant conflicts and recuse themselves where necessary. A submission by an editor or board member requires independent handling. Advertising, sponsorship and commercial interests must not determine editorial decisions.

Publisher and publication information

Publisher: LINHUI LI (self-publisher). Journal of Knowledge and Discovery is an online English-language monthly journal. The inaugural issue, Volume 1, Number 1 (2026), was published on October 18, 2026 and contains five articles. Online registration and manuscript submission are open. Editorial appointments remain under confirmation; the verified roster will be published after consent. No ISSN has yet been assigned. No database inclusion or DOI registration is claimed.
